Why study online with FPD?

Our online programmes are designed to help you stay on task, progress through your modules and succeed in your studies. The application process is completed online and documents are uploaded. Once accepted into a programme, payment is made for the module and students will be given access to the learning platform once the module starts.

FPD BUILDS CAPACITY AND CHANGES LIVES

FPD was founded in 1997 as a non-profit organisation with a focus on addressing the critical need for professional development and capacity building in various sectors, particularly healthcare and education, in South Africa. In the early years, we primarily concentrated on healthcare-related programmes and initiatives. We aimed to enhance the skills and competencies of healthcare professionals, particularly in underserved areas, to improve healthcare delivery and outcomes across the country.

Over time, we expanded our scope to include education and training programmes beyond healthcare. We recognised the importance of education in driving socio-economic development and empowerment, especially in communities facing significant challenges.

We have also forged partnerships and collaborations with various stakeholders, including government agencies, academic institutions, non-profit organisations, and international bodies. These partnerships have been instrumental in expanding the reach and impact of our programmes and initiatives.

These include training and capacity building, research, advocacy, and consultancy services across multiple sectors.
